Coronavirus Chronicles Day # 13
Today was a good day. I woke up late at 8 o’clock Adam was already heading upstairs.
Oh how I love the fact that I can snuggle my kids in the morning! I also love the fact that they want to snuggle me!!
Got up and got a cup of coffee, still the nectar of the gods…

Went downstairs and did a 30 min Zumba class, I’ve always wanted to do one. Started the class and quickly realized that I was the girl in league of their own that had no grace…gracefully and grandly and then there was me with 17 arms and 15 feet…I started improvising like Missy always suggests and kick boxed instead…. I might not be able to carry books on my head but I’ll kick box you into next week!!

Got done and still felt angry like I needed more.
Did 20 min of strength spinning training, came in 3rd out of 46 just what I needed. While I can’t keep a beat to save my life, I can fight. So there I stand. I’m a military brat and shot my first m16 at about 4…not accurately of course but it’s in me…
I’m sure many people are learning so much about me. While I’m an extravert I’m also very guarded: those who know me well know that these daily posts are hard. My inner party animal is saying heck yeah and my inner introvert is saying you did what!??!?
Boys played on the trampoline. We kept waiting for the sun, but instead it was cold and Quavo and I read a book by the pool with a blanket.

Adam took a 1/2 day. For those who have been following it’s been long days for Adam. There’s a lot going on and typically this is the one week that is ours and he spends it with us: I’m so proud of him but it’s crazy too.

Got a call from my parish outreach. I was so lucky because it was a friend. Anita you are amazing and while I have been praying for so many people today Anita got added.
Not because she needed it for her own life but because she had to pray the Hail Mary with me…for those who don’t know I went through RCIA 6 years ago. Poor Anita had to pray with me and anytime I’m told to do something I freak out!! Yes, I know Hail Mary but put me on the spot and I totally space out but Anita got me through it!
Talked to a wonderful neighbor Amanda, who is also worried about the black dog: apparently it’s stealing her kids shoes so be on the look out! We all heard barking this afternoon and Adam pulled out the binoculars to look but no luck. We will tame Max/Emily!

Talked to Vicki, not only am I missing the Sternbergs but so are the kids. It’s not spring break without them! We will get through this!
We did have Indiana wildlife running past our house all 6 deer!!! I can only imagine what they said to their kids before they ran past our house. “Keep close together kids we are going past the Smiths. Don’t deviate those kids are nuts!!! Move quickly!!!”

It started raining!! Kids ran inside and Dawson closed the window on his thumb because of the rain….

I spent the next 45 min calming him down and icing his thumb. Eventually he fell asleep.
Adam woke him because we had sunshine and it was time to swim! The pool is open!!
Lots of pool jumps and fun, I was the only one not dumb enough to jump in.

Corbin and I talked to friends via FaceTime a great chance to catch up!!
BTW Adam is watching Demolition Man and it’s terrible!!! I swear I’m dumber just listening to it…just an FYI…..I told him so and he said 2032 is closer than we think.. I gave him the side eye…
In summary the kids are alright, I’m alright, Adam’s questionable because you know demolition man…and the dog is snoring, enjoying his best life…
