March 30, 2020 Day #17

Coronavirus Chronicles Day # 17

Woke up at 7:15…didn’t move…today is the beginning of E-learning again…slow realization…saucers for eyes…big gulp…I can do this!!

Went to get coffee, really wanted the Starbucks Kcup with 2 times the caffeine but I didn’t want to let my students see me sweat. So I grabbed the French Roast because that says I’ve got my sh$& together…right? But I did make it 16 oz instead of 10 oz… coffee come to Momma….

Bike what bike, I’ve got a battle today I need all my energy!! Think about going on a run instead…nope don’t get distracted!!

Noah gets tired of waiting for me to tell him to get started and heads to the living room to just get it done. His words…

I check all kindles to make sure we are ready to rock. Adam yells from his office that the internet is NOT working…He remembers that Noah is downloading a video game update and yells at him to go downstairs and pause the update.

Ready to go!! E-learning we’ve got this. It went so smooth! Our teachers are the best!! The kids had videos of their teachers explaining new concepts. I teared up a couple of times knowing the extra work our teachers are putting into this unprecedented time. I know all over the country amazing teachers are making this the best experience they can for their students! Thank you to all our teachers from the bottom of my heart!

Broke for lunch. Dawson and Owen were done and heading to the basement to play. Corbin and Noah finished up.

Kids spent time inside and outside today. It was a little chilly but they added a Schueville and Sternbergville to Town Smith. Also, I was surprise to find that Yoda also lives in Town Smith.

Adam mowed, kids played with Quavo.

Convinced Noah to make dinner with me. We made a sausage potato casserole. Noah had to do triage on my knuckles after I scrapped them on the grater…most dangerous item in the kitchen!!!

Noah FaceTimed a friend.

Enjoyed dinner, boys finished everything on their plates!! Discussed green vegetables that Owen dislikes…he said all of them except salad because it’s what he puts the Ranch dressing on…

Kids are now back outside, take a look at Noah’s picture and let me know if you can notice the safety gear he’s missing…

The new normal is weird but it is becoming normal, if that makes sense. I would be lying if I said I didn’t like having my evenings with my kids and husband. But I miss my people, I know we will be together again soon. I have included a gif from a wonderful friend Emily, she is a self described introvert and sent this to me a few days ago and it couldn’t be more true!! Until we are together again peeps stay safe and in the immortal words of Dawson this evening wash your hands and wash your butt…

The kids are alright, Adam and I are alright and the dog is living his best life!
