April 5th, 2020 Day #23

Coronavirus Chronicles Day #23

Woke up late today!! I slept like a rock and no one disturbed me. I think it was about 9:30 but I didn’t really check. Got coffee and game planned the day.

So I had this theory that since we would have way less sports during the quarantine I should in turn have less laundry!! Wrong…wrong, wrong, wrong…I’m pretty sure if it touches any part of their skin the boys just put it in the laundry hamper. And for added fun they remove their underwear and pants at the same time causing said underwear to be twisted in their pants. They just know how much I LOVE that! So my quarantine thesis was wrong there is just as much laundry if not more…

Folded laundry…and blankets…and pool towels…you get the idea…2 hours later

Kids and Adam picked up and cleaned the house. I’m a lucky girl!!

Kids got lunch and Adam and I made a store list. We didn’t need much but we needed stuff from both Home Depot and Walmart so Adam decided he was going to be the one that went. Got a text from Adam, he was in line 10 people deep waiting to get into Home Depot. Later got a call that he was at Walmart and there was no one there on a Sunday afternoon. He said it was strange!

While Adam was gone I made essential oil bath salts. I don’t know about anyone else but I’ve been a tad bit anxious lately. Can’t figure out why that would be…

Kids took naps…I know it’s a miracle!! Okay everyone but Owen napped, but Owen was at least quiet so that’s a win!!

Unloaded and got everything put away. Watched Adam climb our extended ladder to change 8 light bulbs 2 stories up. Noah was holding the ladder and it was a bit wobbly, then the dog kept bumping the ladder, I mentally wondered if Adam’s life insurance was up to date….Adam survived.

Caught myself watching a show about buildings that have turned to ruins…sucked Corbin into it too. Got a picture of him watching.

Adam made great ribeye steaks and asparagus for dinner. At dinner we talked about Palm Sunday, we talked about all the parents we knew that worked at the hospital and why we needed to stay home to help them. Talked about the fact that Easter is next Sunday and Mommy is lucky enough to have her birthday on Easter this year. Got asked if the Easter Bunny was still coming since we are social distancing. You know normal dinner conversations.

Kids got showers and Adam helped Noah on some elearning work. Then loaded up to drop off school work at school and tried to swing by and grab palms but were just a little too late to get one.

All in all we had a pretty great day. The kids are alright, Adam and I are alright and the dog is still barking at our cat that sleeps in the garage…
