April 8th, 2020 Day #26

Coronavirus Chronicles Day #26

Woke up at 7:15 to Adam telling me we had to get the extra garbage out of the garage for pick up this morning. I live a glamorous life! Came back inside and went straight for the coffee. Read the news and got ready for the day.

Started E-learning at 9. It went okay, not terrible not the greatest. The kids are getting antsy and I get it. But I’ve got 2 kids that like to hum and another 2 that whine…I didn’t kill anyone so it’s a win.

So I don’t know if anyone else has this issue but buying produce right now is a crap shoot. Either the kids eat 2 lbs of grapes in an hour or I have raisins in the fridge. There is no middle ground folks!! Last week I bought the normal amount of bananas, this week I made a double batch of banana bread muffins. 🤷🏼‍♀️

While I was finishing up the muffins Adam and Noah were debating who had better rap on their phone. They were totally having a 90’s verses today music war going on in the kitchen. Adam played Public Enemy, NWA, Tupac…Noah came in with Little Noz and Post Malone…they found middle ground with DMX… (Adam almost had a panic attack when he said Post Malone)

Kids and I spent the afternoon in the pool. We pulled the cover back and found a baby turtle swimming in the pool!! Kids named him Tom the Turtle…Noah took him down to the creek to release him. Score is now Smith’s 3 Animals 2…see not all of them die at our house.

The rest of the afternoon was spent playing football, reading, floating, swimming laps. Not a bad afternoon at all!!

Adam came out around 5 and floated for a little bit. I asked him what was worse, working at the office knowing we are swimming or working upstairs while we swim. He said upstairs by far!

Made dinner and the kids are now swimming again. Well, all of them but Owen he’s in the shower. Pretty sure he would go to bed right now if I let him. I take that back, he just walked out as I was typing this and looks like he just rallied!

So in summary the kids are alright, Adam and I are alright and the dog is living his very best life.
