Coronavirus Chronicles Day #33
Second verse same as the first…I’m Henry the 8th I am, Henry the 8th I am I am….not sure why this has been in my head all day but for those of you who know it. You’re welcome…
Anyhoo, this morning second verse same as the first…coffee, news, get ready…E-learning! Today we added speech classes into the mix for Owen and Dawson. God bless their speech therapist! Talk about taking lemons and turning them into lemonade!! She did individual Zoom meetings with the kids and had a conversation with each of them all the while working with them on speech. I was so impressed!!
As kids finished up I got them ready for haircuts. Dawson and Corbin’s hair grow slow and steady. Noah and Owen’s hair grows like a Chia Pet. It’s been 32 days and they were due!!

Kids showered up and headed outside for the afternoon. I decided to head downstairs and do a ride. 45 minutes later I felt like a new woman.
Noah went on a bike ride outside today so he offered the live spinning ride to his brother Corbin. I have never seen a kid more excited to do a live class! He was ready to bring it. He went live at 4 and was cranking it out. Dawson wanted to workout again today so we recruited Noah and Owen to join us too. We did circuit strength training while Corbin did his spinning class. Corbin was in charge of the time and called out when we needed to change stations. Not bad and I got a 20 min strength class in. At the end Corbin had a few minutes left in his class and I turned to find Noah next to him cheering him on and telling him to hit the next level! Corbin ended up 13th out of 67 kids!

No one told me that as an adult I would be responsible for picking dinner every…freaking…day!! So on Monday I devised a plan. I had an open Walmart pick up time and Pinterest! Under the guise of home economics I had each kid come upstairs individually and plan a dinner that I told them they would be responsible to help cook. I gently encouraged them to look at grilled recipes because that’s in Adam’s wheel house. I know I’m sneaky. We found recipes and then bought the ingredients online. Tonight was the first of those dinners. It was Noah’s dinner, he planned Caribbean jerk grilled pork chops, garlic Parmesan pasta, and prosciutto wrapped asparagus. There were no leftovers!! I didn’t have to plan 4 meals and all 4 of them require Adam to do most of the work! I know, I know, I’M A FREAKING GENIUS!! I think Adam’s onto my scheme though!!

Kitchen is now cleaned up, the kids are finishing a movie and I’m delaying folding a ton of laundry!! I’d hold off until tomorrow to fold but I’m pretty sure Owen told me he had no more underwear. So I’ll sign off early tonight to get started…
The kids are alright, Adam and I are alright, and the dog is living his best life!!
