April 25, 2020 Day #44

Coronavirus Chronicles Day #43

Woke up to a rainy day but at least it was Saturday! Grabbed coffee, had the boys do their chores and Adam and I sat outside to watch the rain. Corbin’s goal for the day was to stay in pajamas, watch movies, and drink hot cocoa. The boys did 2 out of three. No hot cocoa.

I feel like the boys are growing like weeds! Each one of the kids have grown between 1/2-1 inches in the last month. Dawson looks like his clothes are 2 sizes 2 small!! I don’t know if it’s the food they are eating or the rest they are getting but at this rate I’m afraid Corbin will enter the 3rd grade at 6 feet, 175 lbs!!

I started folding laundry. I used to get this all done during the week but it doesn’t work out that way anymore so today I folded, and folded and folded. Lets be honest though, everyone leaves me alone when I’m folding laundry so now it might just be an excuse to get alone time!!

As I was folding laundry I folded a tea towel I had the kids make during vacation bible school a few years ago. It rings pretty true right now, it says “keep calm and paddle on.” Think I’ll do just that…

Made homemade pizzas from scratch and they were awesome!! I started by making the dough this afternoon and Adam sat and talked to me. Then this evening Adam made all the toppings and assembled the pizzas while I had a glass of wine. Two months ago this would not be what I would have called a date night. Now I’d call it just about perfect. After dinner the rain finally stopped and we had a full rainbow. I stopped to take a picture and when I looked up 3 out of 4 boys were peeing off the patio…I’m one lucky girl…The kids wanted to go in search of the pot of gold, I figured we didn’t need too….

Did an extended family virtual Cocktail hour for lots of laughs. The kids are now downstairs watching Shazam.

But the kids are alright, Adam and I are alright, and the dog is living his best life.
