Coronavirus Chronicles Day #7
Woke up at 7 and got coffee lots of coffee.
Legs were tired from riding so I pulled up a HIIT Workout from my FitFuel account. Decided all the boys were going to do it with me, called it P.E. Corbin stripped off his shirt during the workout and Owen said he should have reconsidered wearing pants.
Loaded up kindles and got misty eyed when I saw that the last lesson of the day for Kindergarten was creative play. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!
Started class at 9. It went fairly smoothly and Noah had a teleclass. He was pretty excited to see everyone. He finished early and offered to help Corbin while I finished up with Owen. Had lunch and let the kids play outside on the trampoline. Owen came in with a bloody nose. Asked him what happened and he said they were playing booty bop and he got booty bopped on his face…excellent. Stopped the bleeding sent him back out. Boys came back in and I grabbed Corbin so he could finish his work. We struggled with attention this afternoon and when we finished my shoulders were up by my hairline.
I needed a breather, I needed out of the house so I begged Adam to take a 15 min walk with me. We headed down to see our neighborly Cows. Pretty sure they thought we were shady because they gave us the side eye as we walked past. I really wish I had thought to take their picture!! Came back and I felt like a new woman. Can’t really remember the last time Adam and I walked like that.
Kids played a lot this afternoon and we finally gave them the okay to play their kindles for a little bit. Beside school work they have been off limits.
Watched the Cincinnati Zoo feed about their African Lions. Adam called a conference upstairs with his co-worker Quavo so he wouldn’t go through the TV when the lions came on. A little preventative measure.
While Adam and I discussed dinner in another room we heard Dawson yell out to us that he gave fish up for Lent! Nice try buddy. This is the same kid that said he didn’t really give his kindle up for Lent, but he gave up being mean to his brothers instead…I told him he was failing his Lenten promise epically.
Adam and I decided that we were going to order take out dinner from the Mill House. We know this past week has been unprecedented and we wanted to make sure we tried to help local businesses. Dinner was great and we watched a movie downstairs with the kids.
Oh…and with all the rain we’ve had these last few days we now have a lake view. All we need now is some fish in it and Adam and the boys will be in heaven!
So In summary the kids are alright, Adam and I are alright and the dog is still living his best life.
